Description:

Elvis Presley Photograph & Original Slide Sold With Copyright #1
This unpublished photograph, in addition to the four photographs to follow, was taken by longtime MGM publicist Dory Freeman on the set of the 1968 MGM movie, "Stay Away Joe." Filmed on location in and around Sedona, Arizona, Freemen captured these casual images of Presley between takes of the western comedy-drama, which premiered in March 1968. In his starring role as Navajo rodeo rider Joe Lightcloud, the film marked the second time Presley portrayed a Native-America; the first being in 1960's "Flaming Star." Upon Freeman's passing, the 35mm Kodak Kodachrome slides were left to his nephew with copyright. The new owner will assume that copyright. In addition, a 5" x 7" photograph is included with the 35mm slide.
