1063. ADOLF EICHMANN (1906 - 1962) Nazi military officer charged by Hitler with the destruction of the Jewish race, present at the Wannsee Conference where the "Final Solution" was formulated, and generally oversaw the operation of the death camps. Captured and smuggled to Israel, he was convicted of war crimes and hanged Scarce and desirable partly-printed D.S. "Adolf Eichmann", 1p. oblong 8vo., Jerusalem, "2_1960", signing on a document in German which grants power of attorney to Dr. R. Servatius of Cologne, to act on his behalf in all matters relative to the trial for "Murder, among others...". In rather poor shape, having been salvaged by a court employee from a waste basket destined for shredding, with tape repairs on verso, loss at bottom margin costing the first letters of Eichmann's signature, and other defects expected. Very worthy of proper restoration. Eichmann is rare in any form, and especially so writing from Jerusalem. $3,500 - 4,500
