EGYPTIAN WALL CARVING
A 6 1/2" x 9" slab of limestone approx. 3" deep, bearing upon it a fine bas-relief carving of a scribe holding a scroll and three hieroglyphics at the top. This roughly-hewn slab is docketed in ballpoint and fountain pen in several places. It reads, at top left: "Bearer of the roll [of the] ritual priest", one hieroglyph at the top is noted as "G", and at right it reads: "No. 1. Thebes. A final note at bottom right reads: "Scribe holding a palette in his hand". Very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
