In part: '...As we grow older the years seem to take on an accelerated pace for the longer we live the shorter they get...what have we accomplished to perpetuate the land of the free and the home of the brave...hope that the New Year will bring us the image of a man or men to choose as our new leader...My creed of such an image I title 'A Man'... A MAN - who has convictions with courage and character to put them into action...A MAN - who will respect States' Rights...A MAN - who believes in free enterprise and our form of government...Let us therefore dedicate our lives to the perpetuation of the American principles of Freedom with confidence....Let us acknowledge and be grateful for the blessings of freedom which God has given us...'
