EDMUND HILLARY AND VIVIAN FUCHS
A good collection of ten pieces relative to their 1955-58 Antarctic expedition making the first successful overland crossing of the continent. The group includes a pair of 10" x 8" b/w photos signed by both Fuchs and Hillary together with a 4 3/4" x 3 3/4" b/w image of the expedition's base camp signed by Fuchs. The group also includes four first day covers signed by both explorers, and an official piece of stationery for the expedition signed by Fuchs. The collection also features two printed pamphlets both signed and inscribed by Fuchs, being two article reprints: "Shackleton" and "The Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition" Together, ten pieces in very good to fine condition.

Shipping

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arrange through the auction house.
