756. THOMAS A. EDISON Fine content, irritated A.L.S. "Edison" in bold pencil on lined notepaper, 2pp. 8vo., [n.p. but West Orange], [n.d.], to Jaffrey Buchanan, Manager of the Record Division. He writes angrily, in part: "...We are having a rotten time with drying our powder it's scandelous [sic]. I want you to fix this up. The drying time with constant steam heat is a function of the vacuum...With a perfect vacuum no steam is needed...I heard of water laying in bottom of dryer. Of variations of vacuum from 21 to 13. This is rotten this is the most important job you can do answer...". Boldly written and in very good condition. $400 - 500
