ECHO II FOIL
A fine relic of the spacecraft Echo II, NASA's first experimental communications satellite project. Each spacecraft was a large metalized balloon designed to act as a passive communications reflector to bounce communication signals transmitted from one point on Earth to another. This relic comprises a sheet of Echo II Satellite Skin crafted by G. T. Schjeldahl in Minnesota. This 10" x 3" light-green material is printed: "lamination which provides optimum strength, rigidity, smoothness, reflectivity and longevity...it can withstand extreme radiation and temperature variations in space...". Fine condition.

Shipping

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
