Description:

EBBETS FIELD RELIC A fine baseball relic, a 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" piece of brick from the brick wall surrounding historic Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, NY. The field was constructed in 1912, opening in April 1913, and closing in 1957. In 1963 it was demolished. According to a copy of a notarized letter of provenance, the brick was part of the rotunda area of the stadium, and was removed by Gino Notarmuzzi during the demolition. Very handsomely presented against a limited edition rendering by artist BILL LEVER, entitled "A Field in Flatbush", numbered 1461/1957, and signed in pencil beneath. Framed, and ready for display. $150-200
