Description:

714. EARLY CONFEDERATE TELEGRAM REGARDING A PRISONER A curious and somewhat amusing telegram sent by the Provost Marshall of Iuka to a Confederate captain in Corinth, Miss. stating that: "I have a prisoner, I think a deserter. I have telegraphed according to prisoners statement get no satisfaction. What must I do with him?" The answer to the question would become abundantly clear as the war continued. Very good to near fine.
