T.L.S. as Governor of California on official letterhead, 1p. 4to., Sacramento, May 2, 1953, a letter of introduction for two of his favorite San Franciscans. In part: "...The bearer of this letter, Mr. Monroe B. Jacob, and Mrs. Jacobs...are planning a trip to Europe in the near future. Mr. Jacobs is...President of Heineman and Stern, one of the oldest concerns in San Francisco...[they] will reflect the friendly feeling which Californians have for the counties of Western Europe...I shall appreciate the courtesies extended to them...". Bedecked with a lavish gold and ribbon seal at bottom, fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
