DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER
(1890 - 1969) 34th President of the United States, Supreme Commander of Allied forces in Europe during World War II and largely responsible for the successful invasion on D-Day. T.L.S. "D E" as President on White House letterhead, 1p. 4to., Washington, Feb. 25, 1953 to Ernest "Tex" Lee, aide de camp to Eisenhower during the Second World War. Eisenhower thanks Lee to "...tell Dwight [D. Eisenhower Lee, Tex Lee's son] that I send him my very best wishes for a Happy Birthday. It doesn't seem possible that six years have flown by already...I hope the celebration on Saturday will be beyond his greatest hopes...". With the original transmittal envelope. One horizontal fold, else fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer.
