DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER
Fine association war-date I.S.P. 8" x 10" b/w, ca. 1941, an image of Ike standing and saluting as brigadier general, inscribed in black ink at bottom: "To Lieut. Ernest Lee with deep appreciation for invaluable assistance and warm personal regards. Dwight D. Eisenhower". Ink has faded in places, including signature which nevertheless remains legible. Estimated accordingly. Sold with a matted, unsigned Christmas card sent by Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower to friends, bearing 5" x 7" individual photographs and a lithographed greeting and signature; and a 16" x 17" war-date photo of Ike, rolled, damaged. Three pieces. From the estate of the recipient, Col. Ernest "Tex" Lee, who served throughout the war as Eisenhower's Executive Officer and Aide de Camp. Lee joined Ike in June, 1941 and assisted in the planning of the invasions at Normandy and Sicily, and the ultimate defeat of Germany.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
