AUGUSTE DUPONT (1827-1890) Belgian pianist and composer, educated at the Liège Conservatory with Jalhau as his prime teacher and after several years of successful touring as a concert pianist he was appointed professor at the Brussels Conservatory in 1850. Good lot of three A.L.S.'s, 9pp. total, 8vo., Brussels, 1887-89, two to a student, nice content includes his instructions to the student to practice works by Mozart, Handel, Chopin, Gottschalk, and Dupont's own pieces, mention of travel plans to England, and so on. A few marginal tears, overall very good. $150-200
