The set includes many candid images of Douglas MacArthur who was speaking to a large outdoor audience flanked by dignitaries and servicemen. Other images from the ceremony show incoming Philippine President Manuel Roxas, Chester Nimitz, Lt. Gen. Eichenberger and the outgoing U.S. High Commissioner to the Philippines, Paul V. McNutt.
