Large grouping of materials related to General Douglas MacArthur, including a commemorative FDC of MacArthur, signed by JOHN D. BULKELEY (1911 - 1996), American Vice Admiral, Medal of Honor recipient, and the PT boat skipper that evacuated MacArthur from Corregdor in the Phillippines; a United Nations 'Safe Conduct Pass' bearing MacArthur's facsimile signatures; lot of 13 'War Bulletin' photograph cards, 3.5 x 2.5 in., showing many prominent events of the war, many involving MacArthur; a postcard covering Truman and MacArthur's talk in Wake Island regarding Asia Policy; a commemorative FDC of MacArthur with six pertinent postage stamps, signed at bottom by artist PAUL CALLE, designer of the Douglas MacArthur postage stamp; five commemorative postal covers; four Japanese banknotes; and one post-war 'one peso' Filipino banknote. Sold with a commemorative plate, 10.5 in. dia., bearing a short biography on the base with the manufacturing label from 'Vernon Kilns, U.S.A.'. Very good condition.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
