665. GEORGI DIMITROV (1882 - 1949) Bulgarian Communist leader arrested in Berlin for alleged complicity in setting the Reichstag on fire. Dimitrov's cool conduct of his defense and the accusations he directed at his prosecutors won him world renown. He was acquitted and went to the USSR. Served as Secretary General of the Cominterm and Premier of Bulgaria. Typed D.S. 1p. oblong 8vo., Sept. 12, 1945, on "Central Committee of the Communist Party of Bolsheviks" letterhead, ordering Moscow customs not to inspect a 1600kg shipment which will be sent by the Institute to Prague, as the cargo will consist of literature. Dark bold signature, very good condition with multiple pencil and ink notations and the remnant of two punch holes far from signature. $200 - 300
