Description:

DEUSTCHES JUNGVOLK UNIFORM - WEST WESTMARK
An all-but-complete Deutsches Jungvolk uniform, this grouping includes: a light-brown pullover shirt with two "H.J. D.J." buttons closing the front (the third missing), two similar buttons securing the sleeve cuffs, and two closing the pleated breast pockets. The right shoulder bears a black cloth strap with the white stitched number "749", secured with a pebbled metal button bearing the number "21". The left shoulder bears a pebbled metal button, around which is looped a grey braided lanyard, to which is attached a brown wooden whistle. The left sleeve bears a black cloth shoulder triangle, with the yellow stitched legend: "West Westmark". Below this is a red cloth patch with a white "sig" rune. The shirt bears some staining, else fine. WITH: dark brown corduroy shorts, typical of those worn by HJ and DJ members, with vertical slash pockets and a single horizontal slash pocket on the rear, with an RZM stamp inside the rear of the waistband. The fly is secured by three buttons, two metal and one, likely a replacement, of black plastic. The waistband further bears six suspender buttons, two of which are black plastic replacements. The metal buttons are all marked "Solide Elegant" and are a bit corroded, as are the sizing strap buckles on the rear. Very good, likely unissued. Also included is a brown leather belt and cross strap, with a chromed brass DJ buckle, which bears a single "sig" rune, unmarked, with some rubbing to the left side of the buckle, exposing the underlying brass; Brown leather ankle-height children's shoes, of the type typically worn by HJ and DJ members, both marked on the bottom: "Der gute B&L schuh", and both bearing size information. The soles of both shoes bear 1" dia. holes, likely drilled to facilitate mounting a figure to a stand, else very good; black cotton triangular neckerchief, with a brown braided leather securing knot. A fine assemblage, great for display.
