(Death Of Marie Antoinette An eyewitness account of the final requests, last moments, and execution of Marie Antoinette printed in The Gentleman's Magazine, London, Feb., 1794, 95pp. 8vo. It reads in part: "... being found guilty, she had been condemned to death and had been executed an hour ago . " Both of her defenders in her trial state that she disclosed no secrets to them, one stating: "... She only gave me two pieces of gold and a lock of her hair which she requested me to send to a woman... Piorris [who] was her particular friend...." Marie Antoinette also proclaimed "I fear no man but Manuel". Other news includes proceedings of the French National Convention and Parliament, with other local and national news.
