DEALER'S EPHEMERA LOT INCLUDES GRAPHIC DESIGN, ENGINEERING AND MILITARY ITEMS
A sizable collection of 45 items of assorted historical prints and ephemera, including several items related to the inventions of Thomas Edison, the United States Army, Navy, and Coast Guard, as well as a collection of papers relating to interior design in the late 1940s. Totaling approximately 45 pieces in all, ranging in date from 1876 to 1947. Exhibits varying degrees of darkened toning, soiling, and tearing throughout; many pages have been unbound or detached. Good to fair conditions. An eclectic group worthy of further research! Ex: Manuscript Society. Highlights include: three Edison advertisements, including for his patented Kinetoscope and lightbulbs, ca. 1896-1918. Largest measuring 11.5 x 16 in.; approximately 35 pieces related to 'The Color Committee of 1946-47', consisting of magazine clippings, hand-drawn design drafts, among other ephemera. Housed within a portfolio measuring 13 x 16 in.; 'Pan Am Clipper Club' membership certificate, naming the recipient as 'having flown round-the-world by Clipper…', Dec. 20, 1948, mounted to an outside sheet to an overall size of 18.25 x 15.25 in.; an oversize unbound volume 'The Army and Navy of the United States, 1776-1891', part three, section four. (Philadelphia: George Barrie, 1891), incomplete, containing at least three full page engravings; the cover (only) for 'Frank Leslie's Illustrated Historical Register of the Centennial Exposition, 1876', matted to an overall size of 14.75 x 20 in; a printed reproduction drawing of Thomas Edison's Kinetographic Camera, originally patented on August 31, 1897; three maritime maps and graphs, two of which are attributed to the U.S. Coast Guard. Largest measuring 16.5 x 11 in. Overall very good condition.

Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
