(JEFFERSON DAVIS) Three CDVs of Jefferson Davis: an early, beardless bust profile ca. 1830; a right profile portrait identified on the reverse ca. 1844, and a formal three-quarter view standing pose likely as President of the Confederate States, backstamp of Anthony, New York from a Brady negative. With a period manuscript notation "Right Hon. Jeff. Davis President C.S.A.". Together with a portrait of a young woman identified on the verso in pencil: "Mrs. Dorsey (young) amanuensis for Jeff Davis". Also included is a CDV of Julia Dent Grant, posed in three-quarter length in a formal dress. Backstamp of Anthony, New York from a Brady negative.
