DARRYL ZANUCK(1902 - 1979) American film producer, an organizer and later president of 20th Century - Fox who produced the first "talkie", The Jazz Singer. T.L.S. on his letterhead, 1p. 4to., [n.p. but Hollywood], Apr. 17, 1936, to acclaimed painter P. Tino Costa, in part: "...It is a pleasure to commission you to paint the portraits of my daughters Darrylin and Susan...[for] $1200.00...". Along with a newspaper clipping about a tea given at the Caféé de Paris by Mrs. Zanuck honoring the portraits mentioned. Staple hole at top left, folds, very good.
