1544. WALTER DAMROSCH (1862 - 1950) German American conductor and composer, known for his tenures as conductor of the Metropolitan Opera in NYC and the NBC Symphony Orchestra. An A.M.Q.S. taken from an album, 4to., February 1907, two bars of music on one line with lyric underneath "Bessie, Bessie!", presumably written for Bessie Abott, noted soprano, and signed beneath "Walter Damrosch, Feb. 1907" in dark black ink. Signature slightly smudged to the left, else very good. $100 - 150
