1599. VINCENT D´INDY (1851-1931) French composer who studied under Franck and wrote numerous operas and orchestral works. Good content A.L.S. signed in full, 1p. 8vo., Strasbourg, Feb. 5, 1922 in French to a young lady singer. Largely untranslated, but d'Indy refers to the lady's "...admirable interpretation of the role of Vita...." (from his "L'Etranger"), and compliments not only her voice but her comprehension of the role, warmly thanking her in his conclusion. Fine condition, matted with a photograph. $75-100
