CONNECTICUT SOLDIER KILLED AT YORKTOWN A fine group of three war-date documents relative to the death of Timothy Mansfield of New Haven, Conn., who was killed in action at Yorktown storming Redoubt No. 10 on the night of October 14, 1781. The second piece, a partly-printed D.S. 1p. 8vo., [New Haven], Mar. 4, 1782 appoints Joseph Mansfield as executor of Timothy's estate. The third, a partly-printed D.S. "Jos Mansfield ", 1p. oblong 8vo., Hartford, July 15, 1783 in which Mansfield receives £13-12-9 "being the Balance due to Timothy Mansfield deceased..." Light to moderate toning, usual folds, otherwise very good. $300-500
