CONNECTICUT IN THE REVOLUTION A large collection of twenty-six Connecticut treasury warrants, each signed by state treasurer JOHN LAWRENCE for various amounts, 1p. oblong 12mo., Hartford, Feb. 1, 1781. Amounts range from £10 to £674, the latter being paid to a Captain Elias Dunning. Each bears endorsements by Lawrence and other officials, noting the interest paid on each on verso, many through 1789. Cancellation punches to each, usual folds, light toning, otherwise very good. $1500-2000
