Description:

CONFISCATING JEWISH LIFE INSURANCE
Lot of three documents in which the German government confiscates life insurance from Jewish individuals who have been "removed" from their municipalities. The first, 1p. legal folio, Berlin, Aug. 10, 1943, confiscates the life insurance reimbursement of Margot Sara Loewenstein, and bears a very large red Star of David stamp with "Jude" within. The two other documents, one 1p. 4to and the other 1p. 8vo., Aug. and November 1943, both remove claims by Julius Israel Lichtenstein who has been removed from the Grussau. One document is stamped with the puzzling dermination "Blindenarbeit" or "Reactive". In moderately fragile state, three pieces.
