Description: CONFEDERATE PRISONER AT JOHNSON'S ISLAND
C.S.A. prisoner's letter, 1p. 4to., Johnson's Island, Feb. 5, 1863 in which I. Selby writes a friend. In part: "...We experience a great deal of discomfort on account of the weather being so much cold...", also noting that many letters have not reached him and that he is not able to say much on a single sheet (probably fearing confiscation). Typical prisoner's letter. Very good.
