393. CONFEDERATE NEWSPAPER REPORTS ON MONITOR VS. MERRIMAC A very rare account of the battle of Hampton Roads as reported in the Daily Columbus [Georgia] Enquirer, March 11, 1862 4pp. Folio. Much more interesting content including capture of Yankee cannon, the battle of Cedar Keys, arrest of 'Union men' in Richmond, organizing cavalry companies for the war and military goods advertised. Negligible damp stains with slight paper loss at folds, else very good. $200-300
