676. GROVER CLEVELAND Partly-printed L.S. as Governor of New York on Executive Chamber letterhead, two separate pages, 4to. Albany, July 20, 1883, a letter charging the H. D. Printing Company, Ltd. with creating "...nuisances affecting the security of life and health in Long Island City...", namely: "...offensive vapors, gases and odors, and deleterious matter"... that are "...allowed to escape into the atmosphere...". The aforementioned company is therefore required to remedy the situation "...within three weeks from and after the service of a copy of this order [by] proper apparatus...or combustion of all vapors...". Boldly signed by Cleveland at conclusion, with gold-embossed seal at left. Folds, otherwise near find condition. Set into a taupe mat and handsomely framed in a gilt frame. Not $200 - 300
