CHRISTIAN TYCHSEN
(1910 - 1944) Lieutenant Colonel in the Waffen SS awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Appointed temporary commanding officer of the Das Reich Division and wounded nine times, he was killed in action in Normandy. Excessively rare war-date D.S. in indelible blue pencil signed only eight days before his death, 1p. 8vo., [Normandy], July 20, 1944, an award of the Tank Combat Badge to SS-Obersturbannfuhrer Otto Olejczak. Trimmed slightly at left, else fine. Sold with a page from Olejczak's pre-war identity book.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
