CHRISTIAN HADENFELDT ARCHIVE
(1883 - 1971) German artist, a listed painter accepted by the Nazis and whose works were displayed at the 'Hauses der Deutschen Kunst', largely simplistic pastoral and nautical scenes. A large lot of material from Hadenfeldt's estate, includes: award document for the 25-Year Loyal Service Medal, signed in facsimile by Otto Meissner, 1939; award document for the 40-Year Loyal Service Medal, signed in facsimile by Adolf Hitler, 1941; a Hauses der Deutschen Kunst flyer bearing Hitler's image; eight holograph diaries and journals, many thousands of pages and also including the war years of both world wars, many also including genealogical notes, photographs, and sketches, continuing into the Sixties, eight additional journals, probably family history, an 1821 autograph book of friends, and about 20 official documents related to the family and spanning about 100 years. None of the documents or books have been translated, possibly some good content within.

Due to complications from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will ship with USPS Priority Mail only if the buyer submits their request to us in writing and accepts responsibility for delayed shipments. Signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
