CHINESE RITUAL BI DISK
A fine artifact from an ancient Asiatic trading ship, a ritual disk in beautiful mottled green jade, measures 14" dia. with a 3 1/4" hole at center. Dates from c. 1600-1050 B.C. Bi disks were used as ritual implements in sacrificial ceremonies and in the earliest dynasties (Liangzhu to Xia), originally used as a ritual vessel to offer sacrifices to the god(s) of the heavens. This beautiful example was recovered by noted artifact collector Robert Marx in a junk off of the Sumatra Island, Indonesia. With a COA from Marx. Fine condition, excellent for display.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
