"Yo el rey" 1p. legal folio, [n.p.], May 1537, in Renaissance Spanish to the Governor of Valence, Spain, ordering him to disarm the converted Muslims to prevent a bloody uprising. Loosely translated in part: "...The King...has ordered this first dukedom...that the first honored...principals of the brave military of this King of Moors that should be burned...Secure the arms from Moor converts leaving them only swords...in order not to kill themselves rounding them...". Paper seal on verso, wear to edges as expected, otherwise very good. $600 - 800
