CHARLES STRATTON AND LAVINIA WARREN
CHARLES S. STRATTON (1838 - 1883) "General Tom Thumb", a midget who Barnum toured throughout the United States and Europe. A great piece from Barnum's most famous acts, Stratton's signature adding his stage name: "Charles S Stratton known as Genl Tom Thumb" on a 4" x 5" sheet above that of his wife, MERCY LAVINIA WARREN BUMP (1841 - 1919) who signs "Mrs Charles S Stratton together with her sister HULDAH PIERCE WARREN BUMP (a.k.a. "Minnie Warren" 1849 - 1978). Lavinia & Minnie's signatures are light in comparison to Stratton's but are still legible. Matted and framed with an image of Lavinia and Charles Stratton in 1864 in France. Fine condition. Not examined out of frame.
