Description:

(1934 - 2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. A.N.S. 'Easy Manson' at the conclusion of a typed letter sent to him and forwarded to his biographer Nuel Melton. The original letter is 1p. 4to., San Francisco, February 20, 1986, from Joel Fort, an associate professor at Golden Gate University requesting an interview. He writes in part: '...I would like to do a filmed interview with you sometime during the first two weeks of March to talk about violent crime its causes, and prevention. This can include your observations on various prisoners you have known and your thoughts about society, prisons, etc...' Manson writes at the conclusion of the letter in part: 'Would you check this and see if it would do any good or is it a rip off. I've got to do something to get some bucks...all this makes me feel like a cheap whore but I've started snaking again...' Creased with scattered stains. Accompanied by a hand addressed and signed envelope.
