CHARLES MANSON
(1934 - 2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. A.Ms.S., California, Feb. 21, 1980, 4pp. 4to., to his biographer, Nuel Melton, who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. In part: '...Moms was a working girl and was by circumstance was pushed in to the streets with her brother in the hard times in a poor part of the MS. She was busted, her and my uncle went to prison and I was on my own...rejection became a way of life yet in my own brain I never knew what it was - one must understand exceptances to know the others end of that thought called rejected...I learnt to hussel for number one and look out for all I had me - what a me was or was not I made up to survive - Like any lost dog I bark for food and wagg my tail but once I got it I would bite and fight to keep it...A few days out from murder humans is not what I would call a life to wright about - I Could wright better longer and more about death. I know fear and death judges robes and chambers of more madness than most earth brain English speaking people could dream could survive a heart...' Manson adds a post-script 'who cares unless it pays', signed 'Charles Manson' with swastika. Comes with hand addressed envelope. Fine condition.
