Description:

CHARLES MANSON
(1934-2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. MANSON FINDS RELIGION Lengthy A.L.S. with superb content, 6pp. 4to., Vacaville, 1977, a tirade about religion and laws. In part:'...To understand yourself in the body...you must see past reflections pushed in your brain by fears and pain...you won't admit to yourself that all you are is an animal...Don't tell me about the law- mans law has shown me nothing but lies...I broke no law, I told you the same thing Christ told Rome...you ass hats still preach to me - I was within the law and still am. The people that run your laws broke all the laws for the money, and you don't know nothing about black people cause you don't even know yourself...you write me about school and you're the dummie...7 years you hid me from yourself because you blamed me for that lying bullshit you call system, your court wouldn't even face me...you would rather die with Christ than live with Christ, just let me have my own will on earth...When a wolf falls in the water the other wolfs eat him so they can survive until spring then new pups are born...the roots of life are precise and cannot afford mistakes...I've learned to duck lies and mistakes, my thoughts are set in perfection...Did the devil create god, the handle is just as much part of the hammer as the claw, nothing can use anything that don't use it back just as much in balance. Christ is the only answer...I don't need you my thoughts are established and set in the minds of the earth...I myself have always been off earth and in an underworld of prison...I have no doubt Christ died so I could live...' and much more. Accompanied by a hand addressed envelope. Fine condition. From a grouping of Manson's letters in the estate of his biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words'.
