CHARLES MANSON
(b.1934) Drifter whose "family" committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. So far has eluded the gas chamber. Typically strange content A.N.S. 1p., oblong 8vo. on verso of 4 1/2" x 6" print of James Reynolds' image Stage Stop, Pelican Bay State Prison, Oct. 30, 1997, to a long-time friend and correspondent named only "Juss". In part: "...Juss, I know the hillbillys can eat 10 cowboys a day & not git fat—but this is a great card...". Boldly signed "Charles Manson" in black ink. Fine.
