Description:

(1934 - 2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. Fine content A.L.S. 'Easy Mac Manson' with typical backwards swastika through signature, 8pp. 4to., [n.p., n.d., likely Corcoran, ca. 1979], to his biographer. In small part: '...I never tryed to be over you because you were biger, smarter, older...I was nothing in your world but a chicken shit car thief...not good enough to take home to anyones mom...only a poor Irish girl a Hill billy who dreamed of Calif & gave me some ass to take her...then I was left alone in prison again...got my ass beet by my ant & uncle - if I did I got beet if I didnt I got beet...my grandmom sent my uncle to find me. Then she put them both in State Prison...my mom left me long before...So she became a spot in the picture I looked at...I ran from prison to prison looking & learning from each & everyone I met...' The letter rapidly dissolves into a psychotic rant, adding an erratic swastika with a smiley face, then recovers somewhat: '...others dont want no one to know any more than there already is to know...to run from ones own self - self being crazy even to the uncrazy until they become one in madness & others study the brain and run from their own minds...most run from knowing...' Fine condition. From the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words'.
