Description:

(1934-2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. Great content holograph manuscript in Manson's hand (unsigned) on the verso of a Dec. 4, 1985 letter to him by CBS News producer Carol Ross Joynt seeking ant interview. Manson responds in pencil, then decided to cross out his response to Joynt and instead send the letter to his biographer, Nuel Emmons. His response to Joyn reads, in part: '...Why don't you interview Lyn Fromme? I feel you need a woman to tell you what ever it is you want to ask. Give her thousand dollars. That means you will air what she says even if you don't like it - ' He reconsiders, and writes Emmons: 'Can you git them to send that TV this week - we should git 50 grand for this one - a 3 day 4 hours a night would bring the ratings up 90% and make C[harlie] Roses show the most watched show in the U.S....Manson adds two simple sketches of smiling sketches. From a grouping of Manson's letters in the estate of his biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words.'
