Description:

CHARLES MANSON
(1934-2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. Good content A.L.S. signed with his rare pseudonym 'von Brona' with swastika across the signature, 4pp. 4to., Vacaville, Dec. 16, 1981 to his biographer. Manson writes a hurried letter from 'the nut ward', in part: '...Im in handcuff again but you never thought about that...I told you about mail you did nothing. I told you about lock down. Its a struggle to stay alive but thats none of your concern...Im in a nut ward 8 years an a 90 day program what do you think that does to a brain anyones brain. Im nailed to the wall...I was ready to swing a deal with Germany & Japan you got in it & it didnt work out. I'm told they found a body with the hands cut off...I could get more from Japan in time...Mel, you can't live my life...' Very good. From a grouping of Manson's letters in the estate of his biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words.'
