Description:

(1934-2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. A.L.S., 2pp. large 4to., Vacaville, California, April 1, 1980, to his biographer Nuel Emmons. In part: ‘...Man it takes me ½ an hour to unwind from the tension I'm under...I find it's easiest not to care a think – when you bring up the book though then I got to think about it...when you seem to be recharging my battery it's time to go...I feel visits at this point in time is useless much more changes than it's worth – I wish we could send tapes...' Signed ‘Easy Manson' with his characteristic reverse swastika. Manson adds a postscript, reading in part: ‘...I did send mail for wes to blue...but blue mail been cut off – Can you handle...letters not to be read or used for press etc...' Mailing folds, else fine. Accompanied by original holograph envelope. From the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words'.
