Description:

(1934-2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. A.L.S., 2pp. 4to., Vacaville, 1980, responding to a letter from an admirer. In part: '...what can I do with this one. I've only been through 1000 tricks and what's yours. I'm a grouch but yes all is well if I tell the truth about it, about to 'meet you' as you said. How long should that take to dream a world? I didn’t see a picture of you that I recall. No need to send pictures I don’t care what you look like. If your so broke to get to California, next you're gonna make pictures in a nice studio. I don’t care what you look like...How you gonna love me, I never put nothing in you to love me with...Not to say I would if your so stuck about what you look like. Look like you look and be content with it. I bet you’re a chick that puts make up in your ears, eyes, up your nose...Singer, what do you mean when do I get out of prison, I been in prison since the 1950s-60s, who misses who? I always been right here all the time doing what's best for the one I know is love...I may be evil, what is it - Im not all that nice and sweet...' Included with an original postal envelope. Fine condition. From a grouping of Manson's letters in the estate of his biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. Shipments are sent via FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option. Due to complications from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will ship with USPS Priority Mail only if the buyer submits their request to us in writing and accepts responsibility for delayed shipments. Signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
