Description:

CHARLES MANSON
(1934 - 2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. A.L. (unsigned), 8pp. large 4to., Jamul, California, July 31, 1987, to his biographer Nuel 'Mel' Emmons. In part: '...I like you more than I ever did – I don't like some of the things you said...I think you...put too much...faith in money...you still got to do your number the way you see it...It was you who done me a good turn...The times others do me wrong is worth the ones that do me right – I did you back just like you did me – So don't be my warden and don't work to keep me locked up because you may think I may want your money...How many times have you been someone's fool. How many times has good old Mel been left at the bus stop...You always carried yourself as a man...Your old cell block has changed a lot...I've mellowed out with age...your big money now and it will grow in your brain to be a big shot and big shots always feel they can say anything. You have never lied to me or been dishonest...I am taking steps to sue the staff of CDC. Maybe I'll sue you when the book's doing well say 44 million HAHA...I may be a comic when I get out...Christ said don't judge because we all must live in the reflection of our own judgements – If I wrote about Mel's life the sleepy drug dealer who's responsible for 100 plus maybe 1000s of people that would be judging...You still think society is right and you and I were wrong. We did what we were taught to survive...I hear they got a TV 4 inches wide – they call it a picture TV man teck sure has come a long way...' Mailing folds, chipped at the top edges where the pages were torn from a notepad, else fine. Accompanied by a holograph transmittal envelope. From the estate of Manson's friend and biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), co-author of 'Manson in His Own Words'.
