Description:

CHARLES MANSON
(b.1934) Drifter whose "family" committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. Very rare A.M.Q.S. "C M" with the ubiquitous swastika through his signature, 2pp. 4to., [Prison in Tamal Co., Ca.], Oct. 20, 1986. Manson pens 16 bars of music for guitar and lyrics, the song titled: "You-U-Improvise". In part: "Everything is the song It's been there all along in the Silence of your heart In the songs that your sing In the allways of the hallways in everything in everything..." He continues: "...it's not easy to put it on paper. I've not wrote music for YEARS they took my guitar so some little person could play important...I never did write music down, I always used a tape - Can you score this for me...I'm not permitted to do anything...". Sold with a guitar pick (presumably Manson's) and holograph transmittal envelope. Fine. Some speculate that Manson's murderers actually went to the Tate house by accident, meaning to go to the nearby home of a music producer who had scorned Manson's efforts to obtain a recording contract.
