Good lot of four period relics related to CHARLES A. LINDBERGH's historic transatlantic flight, includes: the souvenir album "Illustrations of Colonel Lindbergh’s Decorations and Some of His Trophies", ed. Nettie H. Beauregard, (St. Louis: Missouri Historical Society), 1928, 48pp. oblong 4to., a photographic record of just some of the numerous gifts, awards, trophies, keys to the city, and other presentation pieces foisted upon Lindbergh following his historic flight; printed document, 3pp. 4to., an invitation to a reception held for Lindbergh by the City of Indianapolis on August 9, 1927, illustrated with an inset photo portrait of Lindbergh and with the program and menu for the reception affixed within; and a presentation medal given to guests of the above reception, with a ribbon identifying a presiding official. All are in very good condition. Also present are several additional modern pieces of Lindbergh-related memorabilia: two first-day issue U.S. stamps honoring his flight, with two additional first-day covers issued by Belize and Liberia; two items signed by Lindbergh's daughter REEVE LINDBERGH, including a facsimile of the invitation described above and her memoir "Under a Wing" (New York; Simon & Schuster), 1998, 223pp. 8vo.; two additional books, "Lindbergh", by A. Scott Berg (signed by the author), and "Lindbergh: Flight's Enigmatic Hero", by Von Hardesty; and two additional modern commemorative publications. Fourteen pieces overall.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
