Description:

Gemini missions and commanded the Apollo 12 flight. An outstanding aviation item, being Charles Conrad, Jr.'s 1p. 4to. application to the National Aeronautical Association in Paris to enter him as an altitude record-holder for his 1966 flight as commander aboard the Gemini 11 mission. As commander, Conrad was entitled to the award and here sets forth details of the flight: "...World Record - Manned Space Flight Maximum Altitude...Type of Vehicle: Booster - Gemini Launch Vehicle Spacecraft - Gemini XI...Marks or Numbers: Words `United States' and American flag painted on...Launch Site: Cape Kennedy, Florida USA...". Conrad boldly signs the application and adds his FAI License No. 333-66. With original corrections, excellent condition.
