"CELEBRATING THE REVOLUTIONARY COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED IN INNER MONGOLIA"
Large and visually striking Chinese political poster, "Celebrating the Revolutionary Committee Established in Inner Mongolia", printed in 1967, 31 1/2" x 20 1/2", a block-printed scene in red and black, depicting three Red Guards - student revolutionaries - bearing a large sign reading "Revolutionary Committee". One man wears an armband reading "Red Rebel Group", while a second brandishes a copy of the "Quotations of Chairman Mao". A large crowd in the background similarly holds up flags and books. The title of the piece is printed in white Chinese characters on a red field at the bottom of the image. Vertical folds, small vertical tears at the bottom edge, repaired on the verso with archival tape, else very good. From a single collection obtained entirely in China pre-2000.
