(1942-1999) United States Marine Corps sniper with a service record of 93 confirmed kills, whose service record and exploits in the Vietnam War has made him a legend among Marines. The North Vietnamese placed a bounty of US$30,000 on Hathcock's life for killing so many of their men, nicknaming him 'White Feather' due to the feather he wore in his hat. Hathcock held the record for highest bounty given by the Viet Cong, and killed every known Vietnamese marksman who sought him to collect it. His most famous accomplishments was shooting an enemy sniper through the enemy's own rifle scope, hitting him in the eye and killing him. His unsigned, authorized memoir: 'White Feather' by Roy Chandler and Norman Chandler (Jacksonville: Iron Brigade Armory Publishing). 279pp. 4to. in black boards with gilt titles. Bears the printed signatures of Hathcock and the two authors. Slightly bumped to the upper-right corner, else fine.

Shipments are sent via FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option. Due to complications from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will ship with USPS Priority Mail only if the buyer submits their request to us in writing and accepts responsibility for delayed shipments. Signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
