Photojournalist, considered one of the greatest photographers to work for Life Magazine (1936 - 1972), best known for his spectacular image of Douglas MacArthur returning to the Philippines. Large coffee table edition of his book Carl Mydans: Photo Journalist, original l985 edition with updated 1994 dust jacket, as issued by the publisher Harry N. Abrams, 207pps., with more than 250 high quality reproductions of some of Mydans' best known images. Dust jacket features a fantastic reprint of his MacArthur image.
